Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune is a two-year, full-time programme designed to nurture entrepreneurial thinking and innovation-driven leadership. Launched in 2014, the programme combines academic rigour with practical exposure, enabling students to build, manage, and scale new ventures in a dynamic business environment.
The curriculum integrates core management subjects with specialised courses such as Design Thinking, Creativity & Problem Solving, Lean Start-up, and Entrepreneurial Finance. Each semester includes hands-on projects and start-up-focused assignments, where students work on real business ideas, develop prototypes, and gain practical insights through entrepreneurial internships.
A key highlight of the programme is the strong incubation and ecosystem support through the Symbiosis Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SCEI). Backed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, SCEI provides mentorship, seed funding, co-working spaces, and access to investor networks, helping students turn ideas into viable businesses.
The programme is further enriched by active E-Cell initiatives, including events like E-Summit and The Grand Pitch, where students interact with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts. Through this hands-on, mentor-led approach, the programme equips students with the skills, network, and confidence to become successful entrepreneurs and innovation leaders.
